Description

Penstemon eximius (also called Eximius Penstemon, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Plantaginaceae. It is native to Mexico and Central America. It is a herbaceous perennial growing to 0.5–1 m tall, with a trunk up to 10 cm diameter. It is found in moist habitats, such as riverbanks, lakeshores, and mountain slopes.

Penstemon eximius is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and is also used for erosion control and as a windbreak.
