Description

Darcya vandellioides (also called Vandelli's Darcya, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the tropical montane forests of Mexico and Central America. It has a basal rosette of lanceolate leaves and bears a single, terminal, yellow flower. It typically grows in moist, shady places and is found in the wild in the mountains of southern Mexico and Guatemala.
