Description

Pinus nelsonii (also called Nelson's pine, among many other common names) is an evergreen coniferous tree native to the Sierra Madre Occidental in Mexico. It grows up to 30 m tall, with a trunk up to 1 m diameter. It is found in dry, rocky, open pine-oak forests at elevations of 2,000–2,800 m.
