Description

Picea asperata (also called Aspen Spruce, among many other common names) is a coniferous evergreen tree native to western North America. It is a medium-sized tree, typically reaching heights of 20–40 m tall and a trunk diameter of up to 1 m. It grows in cooler climates in moist, well-drained soils in full sun. It is found in boreal forests, subalpine forests, and mountain valleys.
