Description
Melasma rhinanthoides (also called Rhinanthus False Foxglove, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub native to the southeastern United States. It has a sprawling habit and its leaves are lanceolate in shape. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and can be found in woodlands, thickets, and along roadsides.

Melasma rhinanthoides is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a groundcover. It is also used to treat fever, headaches, and other ailments.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Melasma rhinanthoides has small, white flowers with five petals and yellow centers. The seeds are tiny and black. The seedlings are small, with a single pair of leaves.
