Description
Notylia yauaperyensis (also called Yauaperyensis Orchid, among many other common names) is an epiphytic orchid species native to Central and South America. It has a single, thin, arching stem with a single, thin, arching leaf and a single, thin, arching flower spike. It grows in humid forests, often on trees.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Notylia yauaperyensis has small, white flowers with three petals and three sepals. The seeds are small, round and black. The seedlings have two small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Notylia yauaperyensis is a terrestrial orchid native to Brazil. It is a small, epiphytic orchid that grows in moist, shady areas. It is best grown in a potting mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be watered regularly. Propagation is done through division of the pseudobulbs.
