Cultivation and Propagation

Epidendrum mutelianum is a small, evergreen, epiphytic orchid. It prefers a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light. Propagation is best done by division of the mature plant. The divisions should be planted in a well-draining medium such as orchid bark or perlite. The divisions should be kept moist but not wet, and should be fertilized regularly. Once the divisions have rooted, they can be transplanted into individual pots and grown on until they are ready to be planted out.
