Cultivation and Propagation

Epidendrum colanense can be cultivated and propagated by division of the rhizome or by seed. When propagating by division, the rhizome should be divided into sections with at least two growth points and planted in a well-draining medium. When propagating by seed, the seeds should be sown on the surface of a well-draining medium and kept moist until germination. Once the seedlings are established, they should be repotted into individual containers.
