Description
Appendicula weberi (also called Weber's Appendicula, among many other common names) is a small shrub or tree that grows up to 5 m tall. It is native to the tropical Andes of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It is found in montane and cloud forests, as well as in disturbed areas.
Cultivation and Propagation
Appendicula weberi is a terrestrial orchid native to Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It is a small, epiphytic orchid that grows in moist, shady areas. It is best grown in a potting mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite. It prefers bright, indirect light and should be watered regularly. Propagation is done through division of the pseudobulbs.
