Chionanthus beccarii (also called Chinese Fringe Tree, Old Man’s Beard, and Grancy Graybeard, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree that grows up to 15 feet tall. It has white flowers with a sweet fragrance that bloom in the spring. It is native to China, and prefers moist, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade.
