It is native to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. It grows in tropical and subtropical regions, in open and disturbed areas, such as roadsides, pastures, and secondary forests.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Psidium cuneifolium are white and have five petals. The seeds are small, round and black. The seedlings are small and have a single stem with small, oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Psidium cuneifolium is a small evergreen tree native to South America. It can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in moist, well-drained soil and kept in a warm, sunny location. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature branches and planted in a pot with a moist, well-draining soil mix. Keep the soil moist but not soggy and provide plenty of indirect sunlight.
