Description
Eugenia verapazensis (also called Pitomba, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree, typically reaching heights of up to 8 m. It is native to South America, and is found in tropical and subtropical regions, in open forests, and along roadsides. Its leaves are oblong to elliptic in shape, and the flowers are white or pinkish in color.

Eugenia verapazensis has small white flowers and small, black, shiny seeds. The seedlings are small and green, with a single stem and two leaves.
