Description

Eugenia protenta (also called 'Tropical Cherry', among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to tropical regions of the Americas. It typically grows to a height of 3-5 m and has a dense, rounded crown. Its leaves are glossy, dark green and ovate-elliptic in shape. It is found in tropical rainforests, secondary forests, and disturbed areas.
