Eugenia principium (also called Principium cherry, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Myrtaceae. It is native to Central and South America. It grows in tropical and subtropical climates, in areas with high humidity and rainfall. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing up to 5 m (16 ft) tall.
