Description

Eugenia moaense (also called Moaense eugenia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering shrub in the family Myrtaceae. It is native to the Atlantic Forest biome of Brazil. It typically grows in wet forests, at elevations of up to 1,000 metres (3,300 ft).

Uses & Benefits

Eugenia moaense is used as an ornamental plant in gardens, and its leaves are used to make a tea that is believed to have medicinal properties. The leaves are also used to make a dye for fabrics.
