Description
Eugenia citrifolia (also called Citrus-leaved cherry, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. It is native to the Atlantic Forest biome in southeastern Brazil. It is a small tree or shrub, typically reaching a height of 5–8 meters. It grows in a variety of habitats, from sea level to 1,200 meters in elevation.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Eugenia citrifolia has white flowers with yellow centers and small, black seeds. The seedlings are small, with oval-shaped leaves and a reddish stem.
