It is native to Western Australia, and grows in a variety of habitats, including sand plains, sand dunes, and rocky hillsides.
Uses & Benefits
Eucalyptus exilipes is used as a windbreak, shade tree, and for its timber. It is also used in landscaping and as a source of essential oils.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flower of Eucalyptus exilipes is a white or cream-colored cup-shaped flower with a yellow center. The seed is small and black, and the seedling is a small, upright tree with a single stem and long, narrow leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Eucalyptus exilipes can be propagated from seed or cuttings. For seed propagation, sow the seeds in a well-draining potting mix and keep the soil moist. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature branches and placed in a rooting hormone before planting in a potting mix. The plants should be kept in a warm, sunny location and watered regularly.
