Description
Astartea aspera (also called 'Aspera Astartea', 'Aspera Cascara' and 'Aspera Cascarillo', among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree native to Central and South America. It typically grows in dry, tropical forests and can reach up to 15 m (49 ft) in height. Its bark is grayish-brown and its leaves are glossy green.
