Description

Endocomia canarioides (also called Canary-like endocomia, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Melastomataceae. It is native to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It is found in moist, shady forests at elevations of up to 1,500 meters. It is a shrub or small tree that grows up to 8 meters tall.
