Description
Ficus retusa (also called Banyan Fig, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen, woody-stemmed, climbing shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It has glossy, heart-shaped leaves and small, yellow flowers. Ficus retusa is found in moist, shady habitats, such as rainforests and woodlands.
Cultivation and Propagation
Ficus retusa can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining potting mix and kept moist until germination. Cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature plants and rooted in a moist potting mix. Keep the cuttings in a warm, humid environment until they have rooted.
