Description

Brosimum alicastrum (also called Maya Nut, Ramón, and Breadnut, among many other common names) is a species of flowering tree in the family Moraceae. It is native to Central and South America, and is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests. It is a medium-sized tree, growing up to 15 m tall, with a trunk up to 50 cm in diameter.
