Description
Metzgeria foliicola (also called Metzgeria foliicola, among many other common names) is a small, delicate liverwort with a thallus that is only a few millimeters wide. It is found in tropical and subtropical regions of the world, and is most commonly found in moist, shady habitats.
Cultivation and Propagation
Metzgeria foliicola is a small, evergreen, perennial plant that grows up to 20cm in height. It has glossy, dark green leaves and small, yellow flowers. It is best grown in well-drained, moist soil in full sun or partial shade. Propagation is by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring in a warm, sunny spot. Division should be done in late summer or early autumn and the divisions planted in a well-drained, moist soil.
