Description
Monochaetum meridense (also called Merida Monochaetum, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree with opposite, ovate to elliptic leaves, native to the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. It grows in moist montane forests, between 2,000 and 3,000 m above sea level.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Monochaetum meridense are small and white, with five petals and a yellow center. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings are small and green.
