Monochaetum amistadense (also called Amistad Monochaetum, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Melastomataceae family. It is a shrub or small tree, reaching up to 8 m in height. It is native to Central America and the Caribbean. It is found in wet forests, often near rivers, at elevations up to 2000 m.
