Description
Graffenrieda hitchcockii (also called Hitchcock's Graffenrieda, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It typically grows in humid montane forests and can reach heights of up to 8 meters. Its leaves are lanceolate and its flowers are white.

The flower of Graffenrieda hitchcockii is a white or yellowish-white, tubular flower with four lobes. The seed is a small, dark brown nut with a thin, papery covering. The seedlings are small, green and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
