Description

Ceiba chodatii (also called the Chodat's kapok tree, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree native to South America. It has a straight trunk and a rounded crown. Its bark is grey-brown and scaly, and its leaves are compound and arranged in whorls. It is found in tropical and subtropical dry forests.
