Stigmaphyllon alternans (also called S. alternans, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree, reaching up to 5 m in height. It is native to the Atlantic Forest biome in Brazil, and is found in humid and sub-humid forests, as well as in secondary vegetation and disturbed areas.
