Description

Magnolia oblonga (also called Yulan, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree native to China and Japan. It has a broad, pyramidal crown and is usually 10–15 m tall, but can reach up to 25 m. Its leaves are oblong-ovate, 8–15 cm long and 4–7 cm broad. It is found in moist, deciduous forests, often near streams.
