Cultivation and Propagation

Huperzia carinata is a species of clubmoss native to China. It is best propagated by spores. The spores should be sown on a moist, sterile medium such as vermiculite or perlite. The medium should be kept moist and in a warm, humid environment. The spores will germinate in about two weeks. Once the plants have grown to a few inches in height, they can be transplanted to individual pots filled with a well-draining potting mix.
