Description
Persea perseiphylla (also called Alligator Pear, Avocado, and Butter Pear, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Lauraceae family. It is native to Central America and Mexico, and is found in tropical and subtropical climates. It is a large evergreen tree that grows up to 30 meters tall, with a broad, rounded crown and leathery, glossy leaves.
