Description

Persea borbonia (also called Red Bay, Swamp Bay, and Florida Bay, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to the southeastern United States. It typically grows to a height of 15–25 m (49–82 ft) and has a broad, rounded crown. It is found in wet and dry forests, as well as in swamps and marshes.
