Description

Nectandra sanguinea (also called Bloodwood, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree in the Lauraceae family. It is native to Central America and South America, where it is found in tropical and subtropical moist montane forests. It typically grows up to 20–30 m tall, with a trunk diameter of up to 60 cm.
