Description

Litsea hayatae (also called 'Hayata's Litsea', among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to Taiwan. It can reach heights of up to 30 meters and has a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm. It is found in tropical lowland and montane rainforests, as well as in secondary forests.

Litsea hayatae is used in traditional Chinese medicine for treating fever, headaches, and abdominal pain. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks.
