Litsea costalis (also called 'Ribbed Litsea', among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to Costa Rica and Panama. It can reach heights of up to 30 meters and has a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm. It is found in tropical lowland and montane rainforests, as well as in secondary forests.
Uses & Benefits
Litsea costalis is used for its medicinal properties, as well as for its wood, which is used for making furniture and other woodworking projects. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens.
