Cultivation and Propagation

Licaria herrerae is a slow-growing evergreen shrub that prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Propagation is usually done through cuttings taken in late summer or early fall. The cuttings should be taken from the current season's growth and should be 4 to 6 inches long. Place the cuttings in a moist medium such as perlite or vermiculite and keep in a warm, humid environment until roots form.
