Description
Cryptocarya transvaalensis (also called Transvaal Laurel, among many other common names) is a medium-sized evergreen tree, native to South Africa. It has an upright crown and grows up to 25 m tall. Its leaves are glossy green, lanceolate to ovate and up to 20 cm long. It grows in moist and dry forests, in open woodlands and in coastal areas.
