Cryptocarya subbullata (also called bullate laurel, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree in the family Lauraceae. It grows up to 15 m tall and has a trunk diameter of up to 40 cm. It is native to the Caribbean, Central America, and South America, and its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
