Cryptocarya ampla (also called 'Ampla Laurel', 'Large-leaved Laurel' and 'Large-leaved Cryptocarya', among many other common names) is an evergreen tree native to New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Australia. It grows in rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest, usually in areas with high humidity and rainfall.
