Cinnamomum melastomaceum (also called Melastomaceous Cinnamon, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen tree native to the Himalayas, China, and Taiwan. It grows in moist forests and can reach heights of up to 20 meters. Its leaves are ovate-lanceolate and its bark is light brown. Its flowers are white and its fruits are ovoid drupes.
