Description
Beilschmiedia turbinata (also called Japanese laurel, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Lauraceae family. It is native to East Asia, including Japan, China, and Taiwan. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, growing up to 8 m tall. Its leaves are alternate, simple, and ovate-lanceolate in shape, with a glossy dark green color.
