Beilschmiedia obtusifolia (also called 'Tasmanian laurel', among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree with an upright habit, growing to a height of 8m. It has obtuse leaves that are dark green above and paler beneath. It is native to Tasmania and is found in wet sclerophyll forests and rainforest margins.
