Ocimum metallorum (also called Metallic Basil, among many other common names) is an aromatic herbaceous plant native to tropical Africa. It has a woody stem and grows up to 1 meter in height. It prefers moist, well-drained soils in open, sunny areas and is often found in disturbed areas such as roadsides and cultivated fields.
