Description

Pterocarya fraxinifolia (also called Caucasian Wingnut, among many other common names) is a species of deciduous tree native to the Caucasus region of Eurasia. It has a medium-sized trunk and a rounded crown, with leaves that are glossy green and pinnately compound in shape. It prefers moist, temperate climates and is found in lowland forests, as well as in riparian habitats.
