Description
Heliconia sclerotricha (also called Lobster Claw, False Bird of Paradise, and Wild Plantain, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Mexico and Central America. It has long, lance-shaped leaves and bright red and yellow flowers. It typically grows in tropical and subtropical climates in moist, shady areas, such as rainforests and near rivers.
