Description
Heliconia lophocarpa (also called Long-flowered Heliconia, among many other common names) is an evergreen perennial plant that grows up to 1.5 m tall. It is native to Central and South America, and is often found in tropical rainforests and other humid habitats.

Heliconia lophocarpa is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a cut flower. It is also used in traditional medicine to treat fever and malaria.
