Description
Sycopsis sinensis (also called Chinese Sycopsis, among many other common names) is a species of evergreen shrub or small tree in the family Thymelaeaceae. It is native to eastern China, from Sichuan to Fujian. It grows in open forests and shrublands at elevations of 1,000–2,000 m.

Sycopsis sinensis is used as a medicinal plant and also as an ornamental plant. It is also used as a source of timber and fuel.
