Achimenes fimbriata (also called Fringed Hot Water Plant, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to Mexico and Central America. It has long, lance-shaped leaves and produces tubular, two-lipped flowers in shades of pink, purple, or white. It grows in moist, shady areas, such as along streams and in woodlands.
