Symbolanthus pulcherrimus (also called Pulcherrimus, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree of the family Bromeliaceae. It is native to Peru and Bolivia and is found in montane forests. It has a single trunk, which is usually unbranched, and grows up to 8 m tall. The leaves are alternate, lanceolate, and up to 40 cm long. The flowers are white or pink, and the fruits are small, red berries.
