Swertia javanica (also called Javanica, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Gentianaceae. It is native to India and is found in the Himalayas. It is an erect, perennial herb that grows up to 1 m tall. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate, and up to 10 cm long. The flowers are white or pink, and the fruits are small, red berries.
