Description
Quercus lucana (also called Lucan Oak, among many other common names) is a deciduous tree native to the southeastern United States. It has a rounded crown and a short trunk with a dense canopy of leaves. The leaves are oblong-lanceolate, deep green in color, and have short, sharp spines. It is found in open woodlands, along roadsides, and in disturbed areas.
